How does a digital oven thermometer work?

Traditionally, dial thermometers are used for oven monitoring. However, these are often less accurate and more difficult to read. Digital oven thermometers feature a display that sits outside your oven, showing clear and accurate temperatures. They connect to a wired probe, which you place inside the oven to take the readings.
All of our digital oven thermometers (the DOT, BlueDOT and ChefAlarm) come with a free probe designed for meat monitoring. Simply insert the probe into your meat and place it the oven or BBQ, set your desired temperature, and the thermometer will alert you once it's cooked.
To use our alarm thermometers to monitor your oven temperature, you simply need to switch the meat probe for the Pro-Series Air Temp Probe. Place your probe inside the free clip and attach it to your oven shelf or BBQ grate to start monitoring.
