Signals 4 Channel Wi-Fi & Bluetooth Thermometer

Messed around with wireless probes a d should have just gone with this first. I have used cheaper wired probes and a gimmicky wireless probe that really let me down. This is excellent. Used with a bullet style smoker with the billows and damper and it was truly fantastic!

Bought with the Billows and these 2 combined are astounding in quality and control of the temps with my egg.

I used the Signals on its own the previous weekend in my oven when cooking 3 different roast meats to keep track of where I was & what needed resting when.

Clear display, easy to set through the app or the unit itself. Has now replaced my tried & tested Redi Check wireless probes, which I have 2 pairs of. Did have them running side by side on first cook as I know how my other ones are dialled in, the Signals don’t miss a beat.

Can see myself adding the fine probe to a future order, hadn’t spotted when I placed my order.

Been using the thermapen for years, got a bbq one in F and an indoor one in C as that was the way recipes tended to be when the UK was slow on US style bbq cooking.

From the moment I unboxed the kit, I knew I had everything I needed for a masterful grilling experience. The comprehensive bundle negates the need for any additional purchases, making it a one-stop solution for all my grilling needs.

While the case provided may not be the epitome of storage solutions, as it snugly fits only the main components, it’s a minor hiccup in what is otherwise a well-thought-out kit. The probe holders could benefit from a redesign for a more secure fit—something akin to the Weber’s approach would enhance the overall functionality.

However, these minor design elements pale in comparison to the kit’s core performance. The Signals unit stands out as a paragon of connectivity, effortlessly latching onto my Wi-Fi network—even with the notoriously weak signal in the far reaches of my garden. This feature allowed me to monitor various temperatures in real-time via the app, ensuring my culinary creations were cooked to perfection.

The Billows, the pièce de résistance of my purchase, simplifies the art of temperature control. Its user-friendly setup and reliable performance mean that once the temperature is dialed in, I can sit back and let the magic happen.

Admittedly, the absence of an adapter for my Kamado Joe was a slight setback, requiring a separate purchase. Additionally, a minor tweak I’m considering is securing the sponge in place to facilitate an easier attachment of the Billows.

In conclusion, despite a few areas ripe for improvement, the kit’s stellar performance overshadows its shortcomings. It’s a must-have for any grilling aficionado looking to elevate their cooking game.

Set this up for an overnight boston butt on my WSM and was an absolute game change. Weather was pretty cold and close to zero so this with the billows kept the WSM steady all night.

Setting up the app was a breeze. I've added a second pit probe to mine and I find them.highly accurate.

All others I have seen are a pale imitation. I cannot think of anything to improve the Signals.

The irritation of my original Wi-Fi thermometers dropping connection and then the very tempting offer on the Signals unit became too much to resist. Oh my what a difference rock-solid connection throughout my first 12-hour smoking session. The app provides much clearer information and the graphs within it are much more defined than I found in my old kit.

My only regret is not buying a Signals before purchasing two other "popular brand" units so if you're interested in thermometers for your outdoor (or indoor) cooking these are excellent and would advise you to just bit the bullet and go for it they are far superior to the other "popular branded" BBQ thermometers it'll save you money in the longer term.

Good bit of kit I also have the bellows system so j can leave my green egg unattended.

Only gripe is that the app needs to be restarted everytime.

Honestly was a little wary about the signals given I'd read about connectivity issues (Smoke X4 is not available in U.K. unfortunately) but have experienced none of the sort thus far. Been used three times and the experience has been excellent. Sure the app could be improved a bit here or there (better alerts charting etc) but as with all ThermoWorks products this is a solid reliable and accurate piece of kit. Unlikely to use all four probes often (used three at once thus far) but a nice to have.

Excellent bit of kit keeps the kamados running without a glitch easy to connect to over the WiFi purchased the billows blower and spare adapter plates cut the plates down with tin snips to fit 4 different size kamados I run here at the shack:+1: very well made kit IMO and used alongside the Thermapen ONE it's a winning combination

Very pleased with the billows fan and the ability to choose using the app or only the Signals.

Being able to set the temperature to 107 F and know that it will be kept by the Signals + Billows makes it so easy to BBQ whatever you can think of.

As a thermometer I cannot fault the signals and using it with billows it's so good at controlling the temperature in my Kamado Joe when doing low and slow overnight cooks.

I've only withheld the top star because of the software which works but isn't great. I was using a Meater thermometer previously and find the software to be much more intuitive.

Genius design makes kamado cooking reliable and predictable. Definitely buy the billows with this!

Unfortunatly we had a rough start with a defect on the signals but i must say service was amazing!! Thanks to Bryan from customer service i knew instantly they would fix the problem. And they did very quick to sent me a new one. This worked almost perfect.

The signals works perfect and does exactly what it needs to do the app though needs some improvement.

Sometimes i need the check the set values twice because it didn't saved it the first time it doesn't always feels intuitive.

Connection is pretty stable but needs some more testing.

I think if they improve and update the app a little bit more i'll be the best device ( and service) on the market!!

I use it with my smoker together with the Billows fan perfect combo.

Excellent performance perfect for different meat in the smoker.

Great piece of kit. Bought this to replace my Weber connect which was rubbish at staying connected!

First time I used the signals was on an over Boston Butt cook and it was brilliant. It's a big outlay but definitely worth it.

This was a gift for my boyfriend. He loves it!

The display is clear and easy to read. The app is very straightforward and simple. Being able to view temperatures graphs etc online is a nice touch.

The Billows was a bonus really works perfectly and was very easy to set up.

The unit has quite a solid feel and comes with several temperature probes of adequate quality. To achieve a higher rating it would need following improvements:

* The app is a bit clunky. Feels very cheaply built.

* The alarm is loud and annoying and can only be configured to min/max temperature. No settings for loudness style whether it repeats infinitely if it must stay over the threshold for set amount of time etc. It will go off whenever you open the lid of the oven.

* The battery has short life - power warning before the end of a 6 hour low and slow and can only be charged via USB.

Excellent Service ordered the unit one day dispatched the next and received the day after in Haute Savoie France. Spot on.

Precise reliable excellent functional and very intuitive app. It is my 4 use and I am very satisfied ... I recommend it.

The Signals thermometer is a good device for monitoring temperatures of several items at the same time. You can also save and export temperature profiles to a computer if required. Very useful if you want to know everything about what you're cooking or developing recipes or cooking processes. It's great to be able to align temperature profiles so easily using the app... Much easier than aligning temperature profiles from separate devices (e.g. oven and internal meat temperature).

I have had some issues with using it in wet weather; an alarm was repeatedly tripped for one of the channel. So would avoid using it in very wet conditions. That said it continued to monitor temperatures well.

The free app could be better. It's a bit too simple and it would be good if you could permanently change the temperature units to Celsius (it seems to keep defaulting to farenheit). It would also be useful to be able to change the saved profile file names.

Connection to WiFi and Bluetooth seems to be good even if you move away from the unit.

The ability to recharge the unit was very welcome.

Shame that it doesn't have k-type connectors because it has made all my old probes redundant but there are very few other similar devices in the market.

So far so good. One high-temp probe died on first usage (whilst searing a steak on a cast iron plate on a Weber kettle). Not sure if I caused it or it was a bad example. Slightly annoying that the sound the device does when a button is pressed cannot be turned off.

The Signals is amazing. The thermapen accuracy in a multi probe (1pit and 3meat supplied) wi-fi and Bluetooth device with graphs etc. The app is easy to use. Overall been very happy! Even without the app and WiFi the device is a brilliant unit big screen and easy to follow. I would highly recommend. Pictures on insta @ignisfumo
