Information we collect about you
We collect information about you when you create an account, place an order, fill in a contact form or email us directly. We also collect information when you voluntarily comment on our blog posts, provide feedback in reviews and surveys or participate in competitions.
The information we collect about you may include your name, email address, postal address, phone number, IP address, location, company name, your chosen internet browser and device, plus any information you supply voluntarily. Your card details are not stored on our servers. Your order data will be stored so that you can log in at a later date and see your previous orders.
Website usage information is collected using cookies.
If ETI was ever sold to another company, your contact information would be passed on to this new party.
We take every measure to safeguard your data and only collect and store what is necessary. We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others.
Explaining the legal bases we rely on
Legitimate interest - we process and store your data when you have created an account, placed an order or have contacted us using a contact form or direct email for example.
Consent - we process and store your data when you have consented to signing up to our mailing list or have given consent for us to use optional cookies for example.
Mailing List Subscription
By subscribing or opting in to our newsletter service, we may include your name, address and email on our mailing list in order to inform you of offers for goods or services from our company that may be of benefit to you. Any email/marketing material from ETI will only be sent to you if you have actively subscribed to our mailing list.
To ensure we never send unwanted emails, subscribing to our list requires a double opt-in. Your email address will never be passed on to any third party. If for any reason, you receive unsolicited, unwanted mail from us, please contact our office directly where your details will be removed from our system.
We may, if you reside outside the United Kingdom and are a commercial customer, pass on your order to our nearest authorised distributor. This is done solely to expedite your order, and for no other purposes.
How long will we store your data?
We will only store data for the minimum legal as defined by UK law and/or contractual limits.
If we provide any paid-for services to you, we are required under UK tax law to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for a minimum of 6 years, after which time it will be destroyed.
Your information that we may use for marketing purposes will be kept with us until you notify us that you no longer wish to receive this information.
Accessing and editing your information
Customers with an account may log in and edit their personal information and addresses and view order history, etc.
Non-account customers may ask us to supply, edit or delete personal data gathered by contacting us.
