This Privacy Notice outlines how your personal information is treated and forms part of our Terms and Conditions. Your statutory rights are not affected.
Cookies
Cookies are small text files that a website transfers to a site visitor's computer for added functionality, or for tracking website usage. We do not use cookies in order to gather personal information such as a person's name or email address, other than during the purchase and checkout process. Cookies are only used to collect strictly necessary information during the shopping process, and to add goods to your online shopping account. We also use them to enable analysis of user trends to provide you with a better browsing experience. Use of cookies is an industry standard and many web sites use them. If you do not wish to accept these cookies from our website, or want to be notified of when they are placed, you can set your web browser to do so, if your browser so permits. Denying these cookies will mean that online shopping will not be possible and you will need to order from us by telephone or fax.
Data Protection
ETI is committed to protecting your privacy and we comply with the data protection laws applicable to the UK.
Collected Information
When you order we need to know your name, e-mail address and delivery address and credit/debit card number and expiry date. This allows us to process and fulfil your order. We also request your telephone number(s) so that we can contact you easily if required. When entering the checkout phase of any purchase your details are maintained within a secure internet system, and any credit card details are destroyed after seven days.
Information Use
We use the information collected from you to process orders, provide relevant software updates and to improve your shopping experience. We may use your personal information to communicate with you, for record keeping purposes, and in aggregate (and therefore anonymously) for market research purposes if you have entered the appropriate details. We do not sell, trade or rent your personal information to others.
Mailing List Subsciption
By subscribing or opting in to our newsletter service, we may include your name, address and email on our mailing list in order to inform you of offers for goods or services from our company that may be of benefit to you. Any email/marketing material from ETI will only be sent to you if you have actively subscribed to our mailing list. To ensure we never send unwanted emails, subscribing to our list requires a double opt-in. Your email address will never be passed on to any third party. If for any reason, you receive unsolicited, unwanted mail from us, please contact our office directly where your details will be removed from our system. We may, if you reside outside the United Kingdom and are a commercial customer, pass on your order to our nearest authorised distributor. This is done solely to expedite your order, and for no other purposes.
