I have a few Thermapen/ ETI products now for all my bbq cooking, but wanted something that was easier to use for thinner cuts of meat.
These were recommended to me, as they also work with the Thermoworks Smoke controller I have.
Tested them out last week with my Ninja Woodfire and a rack of babyback ribs, and they were perfect.
Both probes gave fairly equal readings throughout the cook (give or take a couple of degrees for the heat variations in different parts of the meat).
Very easy to use for ribs, as you can slide them in easily, and avoid hitting the bones.
As with all other ETI / Thermapen products I have, I would definitely recommend these !
These are just as accurate as the rest of the range but the first of two that I bought failed after only a few uses. ETI would not replace despite my protests. The second failed soon after.
Probes were not subjected to anything other than normal operating conditions.
Great for a quick & fast check of temperature indoors or outdoors.
