What is the difference between the Thermapen NANO and Thermapen ONE?
The Thermapen NANO has all of the features of the Thermapen ONE, plus:
- 0.4-second readings (over the ONE’s 1 second)
- Built-in magnet for easy storage
- Brighter display for low-light visibility
- Accessible °C/°F switchable button on the back
- Thinner, lighter design
What’s the difference between the Thermapen NANO and Thermapen Classic?
The Thermapen NANO reads in 0.4 seconds with an accuracy of ±0.3 °C. It features a rotating, backlit display and auto sleep/wake. It is also waterproof to IP67, has a built-in magnet and comes with a 5-year guarantee.
The Thermapen Classic reads in 3 seconds with an accuracy of ±0.4 °C. It automatically powers off after 10 minutes to save battery life. It is splashproof to IP65 and comes with a 2-year guarantee.
Why do I need a fast thermometer?
Fast readings are very important when it comes to cooking. If your thermometer is slow, your food might be overcooking while the readings are still stabilising. This is especially important for dishes like steak when you want the finish to be spot on. A fast thermometer also makes it easy to quickly check whole batches of wings, burgers and sausages to ensure all of them are safely cooked.
What can I use a Thermapen NANO to measure?
The Thermapen NANO reads temperatures between -49.9 and 299 °C, making it suited to any cooking challenge. It’s ideal for everything from roasted and grilled meats to confectionery and cooking oil.
