Device is fantastic phone app so-so

Great device we bought it for the oven but also useful to see how well our fridges work. Also handy for bread making - mixing yeast with water at right temperature. The app by contrast … it does the job but is rather complicated and confusing even for an otherwise technical user. The UI assumes multiple devices and so opens with a list accompanied by a pretty image promoting their blog entries. You have to get your head around notions of "channels" and "sessions" not to mention bluetooth setup itself. "End and archive" doesn't result in any option to start a new session; but can be done repeatedly which seems incoherent. Graphing is also odd. I saw that the temp dropped from 20C to 7C when I put probe in fridge but this took a lot longer to show in graphing tab. There is clearly a lot of functionality here but the advanced capabilities get in the way of learning the basics.

Great for baking and roasting

I'm using for baking bread and also slow cook pork both in a normal oven. Works very well and helped get the timing right particularly with the pork. Looking forward to using on turkey at Christmas and BBQ next summer. Robust quality feel easy to use and links easily to my iphone.
