Introducing the New Thermapen BBQ Bundles
We're very excited to introduce our new BBQ Bundles! These essential kits feature two BBQ thermometers: a leave-in meat thermometer for monitoring your cooks and an instant-read thermometer for spot-checking afterwards. Read on to learn more about them and find which one is best for you.
Why do you need two thermometers?
Each of our bundles comes with a leave-in thermometer and an instant-read thermometer. Both have really different jobs and work together to ensure every cook on your BBQ (and in your kitchen) is perfect. Let's look at each one in a bit more detail.
Leave-in and wireless meat thermometers monitor the internal temperature of your meat whilst they cook. They prevent overcooking, and because you don't have to keep opening your BBQ or oven to check if it's done, it keeps all of the precious heat and flavours in. The most common type features a wired probe, which you insert into the meat, and a unit, which you can stand beside or attach to your BBQ and watch the temperature climb.
Some will simply sound when it reaches your programmed temperature, while others come with a wireless receiver or connect to an app on your phone so you can monitor your cook remotely. In addition, some also monitor pit temperature, which is ideal for maintaining a consistent cooking environment during low and slow cooks.
Once your leave-in thermometer has alerted you, you'll want to check your meat all over using an instant-read thermometer. The reason for this is that the temperature tends to vary all over, so spot-checking in a few places will ensure it's definitely done. Not only this, searing steaks or grilling a pile of chicken wings require multiple temperature checks, pronto. This is where a fast and accurate instant-read thermometer is absolutely essential.
Which bundle is for me?
We have two new kits: The Beginner's BBQ Bundle and the Expert. The Beginner's Bundle is designed for people who are new to BBQ cooking and want some simple-pimple reliable kit to ensure every cook is perfectly done. The Expert Bundle has some extra features that will help advanced barbecuers to up their game and really smash those low and slow cooks in particular. Let's delve a bit deeper into each one.
The Beginner's BBQ Bundle
The DOT Digital Oven Thermometer is our starter bundle's leave-in probe, and it couldn't be simpler to use. Use the arrow buttons to set your desired temperature, insert the probe into the centre of your meat, and away you go. Its magnetic backing allows you to attach it to your BBQ lid while you watch the temperature climb. Once your cook reaches the magic number, the loud alarm will sound and you're ready to double-check it with your instant-read thermometer. Perfect for those who want simple and tech-free temperature tracking.
We paired the DOT with the Thermapen Classic, the essential meat thermometer. Just open the probe and it's ready to read accurate temperatures in just three seconds. Designed and made by hand in Britain, the Classic is a sleek and simple thermometer that performs where it matters most: speed and accuracy.

The Expert BundlE
Ready to take your BBQ skills to the next level? With two channels for your meat and pit, plus a wireless receiver for tracking your temperatures up to 90 metres away, the Smoke smart thermometer has got you covered. Unlike Bluetooth BBQ thermometers, the receiver comes pre-paired, so there's no tricky set-up or connections to worry about. You can also set high and low alarms to make sure your low and slow cooks stay perfectly on track.
To seal the Expert Bundle deal is the ultimate meat thermometer, the Thermapen ONE. This premium cooking tool has all of the sleekness and quality of the Classic, but with some extra fancy features: lightning-fast one-second readings, a 360° auto-rotating backlit display and waterproof casing. Together, these two trusty devices will make every BBQ experience easy, enjoyable and delicious.
Bundle and save £54 when you choose the expert kit.
Whether you want the simplicity of the DOT and Classic bundle, or the advanced features of the Expert Bundle, you can be sure of one thing: perfectly cooked BBQ food, every time.
